Tarun Reddy Arasu is a dual master’s student in Public Policy and Public Informatics at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. With a background in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences Pilani, Tarun brings a unique perspective to the intersection of technology and policy. His experience includes working as a Political Consultant at Indian Political Action Committee and as an Industrial Policy Consultant with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, India. In addition to his professional background, Tarun has a strong interest in Energy Economics and is deeply invested in the issue of Digital and Energy Equity. Moreover, Tarun seeks to explore the application of Data Science to Political Economy Research, which he believes has the potential to revolutionize the field.
