Nicholas Imperato

Nicholas Imperato, DO, MPH, is currently an Emergency Medicine resident physician at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and his Master of Public Health degree with a Health Policy concentration from Thomas Jefferson University. Previously, he has conducted research evaluating health insurance literacy in medical providers, developed an opioid prevention educational curriculum implementing harm reduction techniques, and assessed state legislation impacting access to opioid use disorder treatment. His clinical interests include environmental toxicologic exposures and the treatment of substance use disorders, with research interests in health literacy and health insurance literacy.
