Dr. James Walkup

James Walkup, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist on the faculty of the Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, where he served as department chair and director of clinical training. His clinical interests concern individuals with severe mental illness, as well as those whose have combined psychiatric and medical problems. His research has focused on the organization and financing of care for marginalized populations, such as those with HIV and schizophrenia, on stigma, and on historical issues in the development of mental health services.
