Sami Shaikh is an undergraduate at Rutgers University-Newark, double-majoring in Economics and Public Administration. In his role as summer intern at the New Jersey State Policy Lab, he will evaluate economic policies at both the federal and state levels and examine their effects in New Jersey. In his free time, Sami volunteers with the New Jersey Public Interest Research Group, competes nationally on the Rutgers-Newark Debate Team, and contributes to various research projects. In the future, Sami hopes to further serve his community by working in economic development at the federal level and advocating for economic justice.
