New Jersey State Policy Lab Welcomes 2026 School Year at Rutgers University

With the start of the 2026-2027 school year, the New Jersey State Policy Lab is excited to announce a new plan for our publishing schedule to make our research and policy insights even easier to follow. Since our inception more than five years ago, the NJSPL has prided itself on developing a broad base of public policy research to advance policymaking in the Garden State.

Beginning this fall, we are making a change to our publication schedule:

Tuesdays: Policy Updates

Interested in staying in the know on current policy and legislative updates taking place throughout the Garden State? Catch up on the latest developments of public policy-related news, rulings, and legislation affecting New Jerseyans, which can be found on our website and as a free subscription on our LinkedIn.

Thursdays: Blogs and Reports

Explore research, analysis, and fresh perspectives on the issues that matter to New Jersey on public policy topics including housing, energy, and the economy.

By engaging our strong ties to subject matter experts across the Garden State and through our significant strengths collecting and analyzing data, the New Jersey State Policy Lab has established itself as a trusted bridge between research and policymaking. Our research is further bolstered by our partnership between the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and the School of Public Affairs and Administration on the New Brunswick and Newark campuses at Rutgers University.

We’re also working on new opportunities for students to explore careers, build connections, and expand their professional networks. Stay tuned for more information about opportunities to meet with recent graduates who are working to shape New Jersey’s future.
