Anisaa Jean-Pierre is an undergraduate student at Rutgers University-Newark pursuing Africana studies with a minor in English and Foundation of Urban Education. She would like to focus her life’s work on improving the quality of education in urban communities by cultivating and improving educational policies. She hopes to make a significant impact on lowering the school-to-prison pipeline and closing the educational debt in the Black and Brown communities.
